I can hardly believe that we are already at the end of the second week of June. This year has been so busy, that I have hardly any time to breathe, but in a good way.
I was going to show you pictures of our new dining room table, that was supposed to be delivered this week, but I had to reject the delivery because it got damaged during transport. So, I won’t be getting the set until the end of the month. Still, I must say that the return process and customer service at Wayfair was curious, quick and made the whole process easy. So I ordered a new computer desk for my son while I was at it, lol. I can hardly wait until both show up. Apparently, my son will have a new desk before I will have my dining room set up.
As usual, my week was filled with a bunch of good books. My favorite of the week was Emily March’s newest novel A Stardance Summer, which will be released by the end of this month. You can read my review of this heartwarming romance novel on my book blog.
I also wanted to remind you guys that I still have an active giveaway going on, on this blog. If you check out Tuesday’s review on the YouCopia Spice Steps, you can enter for a chance to win your choice of YouCopia kitchen products.
And finally, I wanted to share with you this week’s Friendly Fill-Ins from
McGuffey Reader. Here are this weeks challenge questions:
A prop from a tv show or film I would like to own is ___________________.
My oldest friendship is ___________________
Whenever I , I always .
The best is .
Here are my answers:
A prop from a TV show or film I would like to own is not exactly a prop, but more like a part of the set of a television show. Actually, it is the entire kitchen of the series The Witches Of Eastwick. I want that kitchen. It is large, it is practical, it has a large center table, and it is Witchy. Perfect. Oh, and the Hogwart’s library. I would love to own that library. Yes, the one from Harry Potter. P.S. Our kitchen is almost the same color, with the expectation that we have black granite counter tops – and it is not quite that big. So I am half-way there, lol.
My oldest friendship is with a woman online, Deb, who has been and still is an inspiration for me, even if I never met her offline. We have been friends for over 10 years now, and she is also a homeschooling parent, so we have a lot in common.
Whenever I think of my future, I always think of all of the possibilities still waiting to be discovered and accomplished. I am looking forward to the next few decades. I have a lot of plans, and I try to take actions toward them every day.
The best way to spent a morning is in solitude, at least for me it is. Nothing but my thoughts, my journal, my altar (which is set up in my bedroom at the moment), and at least one of my rescues close by. I like quiet mornings, they allow me to recharge, to get my mind in order, and be ready for whatever life throws at me. Days, where I don’t have a quiet morning, tend to unravel a lot faster, than days when I can give myself that time. So I am fiercely protective of that.
I am looking forward to reading your Friendly Fill-Ins finished sentences. If you want to join in, simply follow this link, and enter your blog there.
