Friday Favorites, Finds And Fill-Ins # 66 – Being Patient Edition

Hi Everyone!

Sometimes being patient is hard, whether it is waiting for the weekend to arrive, or for that special something that you always wanted to finally arrive at your home (dining room table, I am talking about you, lol). But it is also important to remember that within the longing for something, the lesson of patience is an important one.

Friday Favorites, Finds And Fill-Ins # 66 - Being Patient EditionWhen manifesting the goal of your dreams, the patience it takes to see it finally see it through to its end – whatever that goal may be – makes the achieving it, so much sweeter. Instant manifestation does not serve anyone, plus the distance between visualization, and the realization of that creation gives you a chance to adjust. What you might have wanted so bad at one point, might not serve you in the long run.

So remember to be patient, no matter what you are working on, and be persistent in your pursuing of your goals.

During this week, I have come across a few favorites, I wanted to share with you. Of course, it included a book (when does it not), but, I am actually quite proud of my passion for books.

This week, I received a copy of Discover Your Master Chakra by Stephanie Larson, which was a pretty cool read. I am somewhat familiar with the Chakra System, but this book is something that even someone new to the subject could enjoy. A very positive book. You can read a detailed review of the book on my book blog.

I have come across a lifestyle youtube channel, that I am now addicted to – okay, not as much as I am addicted to books, but every once in a while, even I want to take a break from reading. Christopher Allen has this amazing little channel, that features positive lifestyle topics, with a dash of luxury, which is right up my alley. You should check it out.

Well, this morning, I read the news that Amazon just purchased Whole Foods, which was just announced on Washington Post. (if you don’t have a Washington Post subscription, you are missing out. Go here for up to 6 month free – for Amazon Prime members). While I am an Amazon fan, obviously, I am also an avid shopper of everything Whole Foods, and I don’t want the large retailer to change anything that is my favorite place to get my groceries. I do hope, however, that this may mean, that some of what were exclusive Whole Foods products, will be available now via Amazon as well. We will see. It is definitely interesting news. I get Whole Foods groceries delivered to me via Instacart, because I simply don’t have time to shop.  You can see if Instacart is available in your area, by following this link.

Speaking of Amazon, I am currently awaiting (not so patiently) some German food to arrive. Every once in a while, I treat myself to something from Germany, besides the coffee, and thankfully, it is easy to order them online, even if it takes forever for them to get here. But, in it’s rarity, it makes the arrival even more special!

This weeks Friendly Fill-In Sentences are ready for you!

This week we were asked to fill out the following sentences by McGuffy Reader

I challenge everyone to ________________________ this week.

I regret disposing of _____________________________.

I have a difficult time admitting                               .

If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be                             .

Here are my answers:

I challenge everyone to reach out and spread kindness this week, and every week. What we need more in this world is kindness, love, and peaceful interactions, no matter what your background or political views are.

I regret disposing of a few of my books, that I did not bring with me from Florida, when we moved to Las Vegas. Actually, that was more than just a few books, that was half a library. But no worries, I am growing a library all over again.

I have a difficult time admitting, that I am anxious and impatient at times. The reason, I practice mindfulness, is to curb this anxiety. It is the downfall of having a personality that continuously wants to reach for more, do more, work on more. It leaves me often feeling like I am not doing enough, that I need to find a way to add more activities into my life, even if I know that it is not possible. Without mindfulness and meditation, I would be a mess.

If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be the ability to heal. I would love to be able to heal people’s broken hearts, and wounds, even if I know, intellectually, that those broken hearts, and sometimes even physical ailments, can transform them into a stronger person. Still, it would be nice. It would be even nicer, if that would work on pets. I would like to heal those pets who have suffered needlessly.

I am looking forward to hearing your answers.

  1. Thank you for participating, great answers. I accept the challenge, I try to be nice in general , but I will try harder. I like your idea for a psychic ability. Have a nice weekend.

  2. I can definitely relate to this post. Patience is a tough one. I just started practicing mindfulness and I have to say that it’s tough breaking old habits when you are an anxious person. It can be very difficult to relax, but I’ve seen bits and pieces of relaxation and I know it’s well worth the practice.

    1. it takes a little bit to get used to the flow of mindfulness. I am glad you started the practice. If you need any help on the subject, drop me a line.Blessings

  3. I agree with you! More kindness! More love! More acceptance, if not understanding! MORE GOOD!
I am glad you are able to grow your library, again. I do that…get rid of books, then sometimes get replacements! Ha!
We have a lot of healers out there; or, wish they were. You never know…maybe they are. HUGS!

    1. some are, some wish to be, and others like me, believe that you can help someone heal themselves if they are ready. Still, it would be nice. Blessings!

  4. We have always hated when we had to give up some of our books. We had a whole building filled with books stolen from us one time. Suzanne had over 200 cookbooks in it. We had a total of at least 7000 in it. We hope they had fun reading them.

  5. One thing I learned a long, long time ago in regards to patience: Never, ever, under any circumstances pray for it. You’ll get it alright, you’ll get it by fire. Sometimes those fires are pretty scary.

Spreading kindness is a great challenge. Have a blessed day. 🙂
