Friday Finds And Favorites # 64 And Fill-Ins!

Hi, everyone!

Another busy week is over – and again it has not been without more action than I anticipated or asked for. As some of you know we have a new member of the family – Lucky, the cat, whom I introduced earlier this week here. Lucky is already looking healthier, even if she has only been with us for about a week now, and that makes me very happy. I was worried for a little while, that we might have found her too late to be able to save her, but she is doing very well, actually.

I have been in full planning mode – I don’t know what it is about summer that makes me want to plan for the rest of the year. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that I homeschool my kids, and think in academic years, rather than calendar years, when it comes to organizing my stuff. In any case, I have just gotten my newest planner, which arrived this morning – the Law of Attraction Planner, and so far I am in love with that thing.

Simply put, this planner helps you to set goals with the principles of Law of Attraction in mind. I am going to do a thorough review on it, shortly. You can read more about the rest of my planning system in a blog post I wrote this morning for the Wealthy Affiliate community.

This week, my favorite book has been somewhat of an impulse buy. Usually, I don’t purchase too many books, because I have a lot of them send to me via publishers, for book tours, and via NetGalley, but this one caught my attention.  Success – The Psychology of Achievement by Dr. Deborah Olson did not disappoint me, and will be a book I will refer to more than just once. You can read more about it on my book blog.

And of course, it is time for friendly fill-ins. This blog hop is simple, yet a lot of fun. Every week we are asked to finish a few sentences, however, we wish, which leads to some interesting insights into the lives of other bloggers.

Here are this weeks fill-in sentences:

A law I would like to see passed is _________________________.

My favorite card game is ______________________.

With Summer unofficially here,                                  .

A favorite Summer memory is                                  .

Here are my answers:

A law I would like to see passed is a stricter penalty for animal abuse of any kind, and that includes those who are in the meat industry. There is a better way of handling animals. Other countries do it, so we could too. Go after those who abuse animals with a vengeance.

My favorite card game is UNO because my kids love to play it as well, and we always have one heck of a good time when we play it. Lots of laughter, lots of competition. All good fun!

With summer unofficially here, I am happy, because I finally not constantly freezing. I am in a perpetual state of cold – a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am often anemic (long story), which makes winter or any cold weather no fun. Summer is my time of the year, yay!

My favorite summer memory is the first time my aunt and uncle took me to Italy. My family owns a vacation home, and vineyard in Bardolino, so we spent a lot of summers there. I fell in love with Italy from the moment I first arrived.  It has been too long since I have been back.

I hope you will take this weekend some time to take care of yourself. Whether you are working on improving your sleep, reading a book, or starting a meditation routine, please remember to make yourself a priority. Only when you are at your best, can you give your best to others!

  1. I totally agree with you on your Number 1 Friday Fill-in. I just don’t know how we are so horrible to animals. It should be just as illegal as mistreating humans, for sure!

I would love to visit Italy!! That sounds so nice. One day. 🙂

  2. Your posts make me so happy! You have such a peaceful presence here. 🙂

Lucky is precious and I’m so thankful that you were able to give a loving home. I agree that there needs to be stricter laws in place for animal cruelty.

I’ll have to pick your brain about homeschooling. I’m currently homeschooling my son. He will be 5 in September, so we are mostly doing workbooks this summer, but I’ve gotten my curriculum and am beginning the process of planning for this year.

    1. thank you Anna. I will be happy to help you about homeschooling, I have graduated my daughter, and my son is in “Highschool – the homeschool version” lol. Blessings!
